If I Let You Win

The skylark sings its soothing melody
As it soars high in the sky,
Freedom is its truest definition
It's never answerable to any Whys!

The skylark conquers the world at once
As its flight wins over all.
It pays no heed to what anyone has to say
And hence, is never afraid of the fall.

But you my little darling angel,
Are bound by the shackles of fate.
How can you let go of age old cages?
Which are only made of hate.

But no, what you are thinking right now,
Is not the only way out.
There can exist some other solutions,
Seek your conscience within and without

How would the cold water feel?
Against your satin skin,
Will it release you from the chains of brutality?
And grant you freedom from the monster's sins?

If death is what you think is right,
My dear, it is not the end of your plight.

You can only circumvent the sinner through that trajectory
But your loss of life will only be his victory.
